June

We took our very first family vacation this month! We headed to the cities and of course, got stuck in a traffic jam on the way there. Luckily the boys slept through the majority of it or I don't know what we would have done! We are adults and were going crazy! We spent Friday night in our hotel. We decided to splurge and get a 2 room suite and were SO thankful we did when Cooper did not want to go to bed! He was WAY too excited!

On Saturday we planned to go to the zoo but it turned cloudy & started to rain so we went to the Children's Museum instead. It was pretty empty which was so nice. The boys had TONS of fun there. We went back to the hotel for Cole's nap and then headed to the Mall of America. The boys didn't ride on any rides at the Nikelodeon Universe but they got to meet Blue from Blue's Clues!

We went through the Underwater Adventure which was maybe a little more exciting for Cooper than Cole. Then we had supper at Red Lobster and went back to the hotel. Going to bed was a little easier this night!

Sunday we went to the zoo which was quite busy but was fun and then headed home. On the way out of the cities we hit yet another traffic jam! Cooper was awake for it but thank you DVD player! Mama and Daddy were going crazy though!

It was a fun vacation but we were happy to be home too. Trying to keep two toddlers from destroying a hotel room gets to be a little difficult!

Sunday was also Father's Day so when we got home, Daddy opened his presents the boys bought for him.

May

We celebrated Mother's Day by all going to church together - which is always interesting. Grandpa Ronnie, Grandma Donna, Uncle Brent T., Auntie Holly & Uncle Brent A came over for supper to help celebrate. The boys "helped" Daddy bake a chocolate cake for Mama.

The boys spent quite a bit of time outside this spring. Cooper LOVES it outside but Cole doesn't care for the heat - too much like his Mama. We took the boys to the Red River Zoo the end of the month. They weren't all that impressed. It's definitely not as good as the zoo in Wahpeton but it was nice to do something different for a change. Cooper had his first carousel ride. He wanted off right away but stayed on and seemed scared. But afterward he said he had lots of fun. Kids!

April

April started off with Easter and the celebration of Jesus' resurrection from the dead. We went to church at Scandia with Grandpa Ronnie, Grandma Donna, Uncle Brent and Uncle Brian. We had some breakfast there and went home for an Easter egg hunt. But the boys didn't quite grasp the meaning of that yet and just "opened" their baskets. We had dinner with everyone and also Auntie Holly & Uncle Brent.

Mama and the boys did the March of Dimes March for Babies. We were "Team Chase" along with Auntie Holly, Auntie Aimee, Lisa Clark and Dana & Autumn Taylor. We raised almost $2000 to help save the lives of babies everywhere! We can't wait for next year's walk and try to raise even more money!

Sorry!

Once again, I've gotten behind on my posting! I know I promised to be better and it looks like my last post was in March! Oops! But I will try to catch you up on what's been happening the last few months with us, as well as add some pictures.

I am still VERY new and inexperienced to this blogging but I did find a way to add a background and new header. So I'll try to keep those up-to-date with the season. "Try" being the operative word :)

I'm off to bed for the evening but hopefully tomorrow I'll get a chance to start on some updating!

March 2010

Mama turned 31 years old this month so we all went to Timberlodge to celebrate her birthday. Cooper loved all the animals and Cole enjoyed looking at the baby sitting near us.

Cole loves spending time with Cooper. But the feeling isn't always mutual...especially when Cole wants to wrestle with Cooper.

Cole has been practicing using a spoon and does pretty well at it. But he also enjoys using his fingers ;)

Cooper had his first "playtime" outside with Daddy near the end of the month. They checked out the "woods" behind the house.

February 2010

Cole is learning to climb, climb, climb. He will use anything he can get his hands on in order to get himself to an elevated position. We thought Cooper was adventurous but he was nothing compared to Cole!

We had a "tiny" scare one morning when Cole got his thumb stuck in a toy camera. He was just fine as long as Mama didn't try to pull it off - that's when he screamed. But we couldn't just leave it on there so Mama called for backup. Daddy ended up having to use a pliers and rip apart the entire thing to get Cole's thumb out of it. His thumb was huge and swollen but once it got back to it's original size, it only had few scratches which healed quickly.

Cooper LOVES puzzles. And he is really good at putting them together. He also really likes "reading" books lately, especially his picture books. He loves to point to pictures and have Mama and Daddy tell him what the picture is. He really loves the animals, especially when Daddy makes animal noises.
