January 2010

The month of January has just flown by! It has been a really cold month so we have left the house as little as possible. There was one weekend with yucky blizzard weather. Danny was sick for a few days & then a week after that Connie got sick as well. She ended up with pink eye, which unfortunately got passed on to Cole. But he was a trooper and it wasn't too bad since it was caught early.

Cole got his very first haircut near the end of the month. He did o.k. He started out well, even though he couldn't quite understand what was going on. He got a little antsy so he played with a comb. But eventually he decided it was enough and just wanted Connie to hold him.

Cole's 1st Birthday Party

We celebrated Cole's 1st Birthday on January 9th, with family & friends. Cole had a lot of fun, especially digging into his cake!

Cole did really well taking his 1 year pictures. He smiled and giggled like crazy!

Kvien Christmas & Cole turns One!

We celebrated a belated Christmas on January 2nd with the Kviens. It was lots of fun to see everyone. Aaron, Meghan and the kids were able to make it down. They brought Grandpa Randy & Grandma Doris along so it was great to see them. Grandpa Jack & Grandma Karolyn weren't able to make it due to the cold but we hope to visit them soon!

Cole turned one year old the very next day - January 3. It is hard to believe a year went SO fast! And he is such a big boy, walking around like crazy!!

New Years Eve 09

The end of another year - 2009. Our year started out wonderful with the birth of Cole Lucas on January 3. The next few months were rough but we made it through them. It was fun watching the boys grow and learn new things. Sometimes they even got along!

Danny & Connie both focused on losing weight and were able to lose around 85 lbs together total. Our basement was remodeled which has helped give the boys a lot more space to play. And Danny & Connie are happy to not have toys EVERYWHERE upstairs.

The Burkels moved to Hawley & it is nice to have them so close. Now if only we could get around to actually seeing them more often!

Cooper turned 2 - times goes so fast! Christmas brought a blizzard but was fun and quick.

We spent New Year's Eve with the Burkels which is always a blast!

The focus for 2010 will be family, health and organization!

December 09

We were able to have a family picture taken for Christmas as well as some pictures of the boys.

Cole started walking even better and started to do lots of "big boy" things like Big Brother Cooper. And Cooper talks even more and LOVES to sing.

December also brought Cole's first Christmas. We had 2 Christmases in December with Connie's side of the family. And then we celebrated our own little Christmas on Christmas day. Of course we had our traditional potato dumplings. Cole loved them but Cooper seemed less than impressed this year. He is such a picky eater!

November 09

Cooper turned 2 years old on November 16th. We had a "Wonder Pets" birthday party for him with family. He had lots of fun playing with his cousins and opening all of his gifts.

Cole also learned to stand alone and took his very first steps!

Cole celebrated his very first Thanksgiving and by then was taking a few more steps.
